SOUTH BEND — A new partnership could bring the South Bend Community School Corp. and a charter school network together under one roof as early as next year.
Charter schools and traditional public schools have historically competed for students. Few nationwide have pursued such partnerships. In Indiana, though, two districts have so-called innovation schools. They’re Indianapolis Public Schools, which is home to 20 such schools, and Gary Community School Corp.
